Yes. Renovo granulates activated carbon fines into granular activated carbon (GAC) on the disc and rotary drum line, recovering material that would otherwise be waste. The process uses binders selected to hold granule integrity in service without blinding the pore structure that gives the carbon its adsorptive capacity.

Renovo has achieved a uniformity coefficient below 1.9 on water-treatment media. Uniformity coefficient measures the spread of particle sizes in a bed — lower means a tighter distribution, which gives more predictable pressure drop and backwash behaviour. Particle size distribution is verified in the in-house lab on production batches.

Activated carbon granulation, zeolite processing, and custom multi-component filter media blending for both air and water treatment applications. Work runs on the disc and rotary drum line, which handles dense and abrasive materials at commercial tonnage, with particle size distribution and crush strength verified in the on-site laboratory.

We granulate activated carbon in standard mesh sizes from 4x8 (2.4-4.8mm) down to 20x50 (0.3-0.85mm). Custom size distributions are available for specialized applications.

Yes, we can process impregnated activated carbons with various chemicals (potassium iodide, silver, sulfur) while maintaining impregnation integrity through gentle drying methods.

Pilot batches start at 500 lbs. Commercial production scales to multi-ton quantities. We work with filter manufacturers to develop and scale new media formulations.

Our analytical lab provides particle size distribution, bulk density, crush strength, and iodine number testing. We can also coordinate third-party certification testing for drinking water applications.
